Hello Everyone!
This week's theme is Dropping, Making, Wearing, Kissing, and Keeping.

This week my mother in-law has been been visiting. The kids had so much fun playing and spending time with Oma that they are dropping like flies before nap time. Emily can sleep any where.

Last weekend we went to a pick your own strawberry field. Post coming soon. This week we have been making treats with them. We made strawberry short cake and chocolate dipped strawberries ( with dark chocolate for Dave) Thank you Tiff for the inspiration. Check it out

With my grown baby bump I had to go on the look for a workout tank top that was a little bit more supportive for the belly. Found one at target! I find my self wearing it all the time. I think I need to go and buy more.

So I have to tell you about the cute way Owen says good bye. He will give you a kiss on each check and then on the lips."( almost like he is giving you the kiss of death) And says "See ya later alligator" My silly kissing boy.

Well we are going to be working our master bathroom this weekend. We have been playing with the idea getting a new vanity or giving our old one a face lift.  We are going to keeping the old one and Dave is going to work his magic and make it new again.

Thank you Ot & Et And Harvesting Kale for hosting this link party!
Check it out and tell us what you are up too.
Have a great week.

Owen Truns 4

I cant believe that my little guy is 4. Time is going by so fast. It feels like yesterday I was putting him in his crib and checking on him every 5 minutes to make sure he was still breathing ( first time mom thing. LOL)  And now I drop him off at preschool and look at him through the window into the backyard as he plays with his sister. Where did the time go.

For the kids birthday I take them out for doughnuts and chocolate milk.  We put a candle on the doughnut and sign to him. Doughnuts are a special treat in our house to the point where the kids think they get a candle on them whenever we eat them. I hope the kids never out grow this growing tradition we have going.

And of course our birthday minute kiss. Look at my silly kid.

Owen just loves playing with Lego's. So it was a perfect fit to have a Lego party. I made a Lego cake and cup cakes with Little Legos on top  made out of Air Heads, found the tutorial here over at Little Family Fun

And of course no party is complete with out a sign. So I did my best at a Lego man.  Owen liked it. Even though he is making his monster face.  He was so happy as his friends started to show up. When one of his friends from school came he was so happy. He ran to the door and introduced her to his is cousins and sister. Then said to Alex " Thank you for coming to my party" How cute and sweet is that.

It was a great party filled with friends, family, good food ( a nacho bar), and Love.

This weeks theme: Reading, feeling , racing, using, smelling

Emily's bedtime routine is really working for us right now. More on that soon. Every night after kisses and brushing our teeth we are reading The Napping House ( her favorite book), then one more book of her choice. She knows every word ( so do I). No matter how sleepy she is we must read her book. She will ask " my story mommy?" then close her little eyes and go right to sleep.

This week we told everyone that we are due in august with our third child. Another little girl. We are so happy to be adding to our family. But like any new mom to be or mom with many kids. I am feeling nervous about what the future has I store for our family.

I have been racing around all week trying to get every thing ready for Owens 4th birthday party. A Lego theam party. Our family schedule is a little nuts this week. I need to clean the house for the party ( with 2 toddlers that can be a little hard) we have school on Tuesdays and Thursday, and gym every day. And all the party goodies to get done.

The past 2 weeks I have falling in love with a new hair product that I have been using.Nourishing Coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. Oh and the anti-breakage. LOVE LOVE This stuff. you can find it at Target.  The last time that I got a hair cut was the Christmas before Owen was born ( he just turned 4) now I have given my self trims but that is it. Since I have been using these products I have to tell you my hair looks and feels heathy. I can even let it dry on its own and it dries straight. I have thin hair that has a mind of its own. Oh and it smells great.

Oh the rain! We have good weather in CA ( sorry if you live back east). But this week we have had rain! The air has been smelling fresh and oh so good. I am hoping for more rain soon.

I want to send a special thanks for my dear friend Tiffany over at Stock on a Cloud. She shared this link up party and great new bloggers, Ot & Et And Harvesting Kale.

Check them out

Our Growing Family

We are happy to announce that we are expecting a baby! We are due in the beginning of August, with a little girl.

Three kids, we are going to be out numbered.
We took the kids to all of our appointments. We want them to be apart of this. Dave and I knew that Owen would understand ( as much as 4year old can) but not sure about Emily. They were in the room when we saw her for the 1st time, she even gave us a thumbs up.Owen loved that. He still tells everyone that the baby gives the thumbs up.

Owen still has a lot of questions
1. Is the baby ready to come out yet?
2. Can the baby hear me?
3. Is the baby crying?
4. Will she come out of your belly?
5. Do you hurt mommy?
And many many more. We are doing our best to answer his questions with age appropriate answers. Emily tells me that I have a baby belly.

The kids were also with us when we found out the sex of the baby. We asked the kids if they thought mommy had a boy or a girl in my tummy. Owen said girl and Emily told us a baby. The kids focused on the gel that they put on your stomach. They kept asking Dave " why is there slim on mommy's tummy". Owen was right. We are having a girl. On the way home Owen told us to name the baby sissy. Emily got so upset. She kept saying " my name is sissy" I think we are going to need to think of a new nickname for the baby. And start getting Emily ready for the idea of the baby.
(The picture I posted to let everyone know the news)

I know the kids will do great. It might be a bumpy road at first but I am sure the kids will adjust to the new baby

Bike ride

It was warm outside and the sun was out, a perfect day for a bike ride. This is our 1st bike ride not on our street. Can you see our little monkey making sure her new bike is OK?

As I look at my two monkeys I cant believe how big they are and that we are on a bike ride at the lake to the park.

Owen rides his bike like a pro. Emily is still learning how, she always wants to do what her big brother is doing. I know she will be riding just like Owen in no time. But for now she still needs a little help from us.

As we got closer to the park Owen would yell "all most Emily all most Emily" Emily would yell "I see it Owen" They are to cute for words some times.

We had a great time playing at the park.

Owen showing us his super hero pose.

As Emily runs around she yells princess.

One bike ride done but many many more to come. I cant wait!

Emily's 2rd birthday party

Our little princess has turned 2. I cant believe it. Time is going by way to fast. Our little Emily loves any thing pink and princess. I spent all last week getting ready for the party. Baking cookies, making play dough, goodies bags, backing cookies and a small cake. Cleaning the house, with 2 toddlers running around that one always takes the longest. There were a couple of late nights. When my little angles are asleep I am able to get things done.

The party turned out great. The kids had a great time so did the adults. Here are a couple of shoots of the party.

Some of the goodies that were made for the party. My mom made the candies. I am working on some tutorials to be posted soon.

Look at that smile.

Not the best picture of me but its a cute one of Emily.

Owen really liked the frosting.

Ava loved the cupcake!!! And her Aunt Jenny for giving her one.

I just love this pic. Emily received 2 pairs of dress up shoes and her and Ava just loved them. Even warring them when eating cupcakes.

Emily trying out her new bike. Thank you Grandma and Papa

And of course here a couple of shots from Emily's birthday doughnut and birthday kiss.

We are so lucky to have great family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our little one.

Owen truned 3

My little man is 3. I cant believe how fast time goes by. Owen is into trains, he loves them. SO we have a trained themed party.  Here are a couple of pictures of the train all the fun train things I did for Owen's party.

We were not able to get more pictures of Owen opening his gifts because he opened them so fast it was like a tornado. But with every gift he would call out what it was and say "oh , wow, look" It was so funny.

It was great party.

We also went to dounuts for breakfast.

I give my kids a birthday minute kiss every year.
