Kitchen Art Box

I have a small box on my kitchen counter that holds a box of quick art supplies for Owen ;crayons, stickers, a small amount of play dough, water color, small washable markers, and color pencils. This box is a life savers when I am trying to cook a meal or do the dishes. All I need to do put Owen in his high chair hand him a couple of art supplies and let him create.
Today it was water color. I plan on using his art work to decorate the box. I will post a picture when it is done.

Bath lights

I found a new way to make bath time fun. I came across this idea on pinterst. Glow sticks ( only $1 at the craft store) in the bath tub! Owen loved it. Not only did it make bath time sepical but with the help of an empty shampoo bottle Owen practice problem solving, by putting the glow sticks in the bottle and then try to find a way to get them out. This was a great active and one we will do again.

Sidewalk Chalk Paint

I am always looking for new and fun things for Owen to experience. I found a great recipe for DYI sidewalk chalk paint on Pinterest. I had to try it. I know what you are thinking this sounds like a summer activity. Lucky for us we live in San Diego. where even in December we can play outside with shorts and a t-shirt on. Owen had a lot fun painting on the ground and mixing all the colors together. I have to say that I had fun too. Clean up was very easy. What a great activity. This will go on the list of will do again!!!

You only need a couple of things; Water, cornstarch, food coloring, something to mix it in, a paint brush. Mix the water and cornstarch to make a paste and a couple of drops of food coloring ( not to much you dont want to dye the sidewalk. And then have fun!!!
