Hello everyone! Today's theme is Making, Eating, Enjoying, Hiding, Noticing.

I have been luck this week, I have been able to make a couple of things! I have been making a new  chevron crochet blanket. It is a small one, I call them lovey. Not sure about the colors but its cute. Emily keeps asking for one for her baby. So maybe baby Tori will get this one. This week I also made a couple hood towels for Emily and Ava ( my niece) for Easter. With the help from two little ones I was able to make a quick little bag for the DVD players.

This past weekend we were able to spend time with our family. So we loaded up the car and headed to Grandma and Papa's house. My parents always make the meals when we get together so this time my sister and I did the food. Dave and I brought up all the goodies to make Carne Asada Tacos. Living in San Diego it is easy to find good and fresh ingredients. My sister made a cute veggie plate. It had a bread bunny ( that she made) with a hole in the tummy filled with dip.Good job Kimmy!! So we spent the day eating great food.

We have spent the past week enjoying spending time with family. We recently found out that a family member has been diagnosed with cancer. A month ago I also had a cousin who passed. When things like this happen it makes you value every moment you have with loved ones. So we have been making it a point to enjoy life and the ones in it.

Well I have been keeping my craft room in hiding for a while now. Because well we have been using the room as a catch all room. And I am not the best a organizing. I hope that the door will be able to stay open and the room can come out of hiding. Sorry no pic ( its in hiding)

I have been noticing that baby #3 is moving a lot! Owen had his hand on my tummy one morning and she moved. Owen said "Mommy she is trying to get out" I am not at 25 weeks. She will be here soon. Need to think of names.

Fields of Flowers

A couple of weeks ago the Oma came to visit. There are so many wonderful things to see and do in San Diego but there is always some thing I wanted to see. Plus I knew that Oma would like it too. We went to the Flower fields in Carlsbad Ca. The fields are only open for a short amount of time in the year, March 1- May 11.

There are  over 50 acres are filled with Tecolote Giant Ranuncluls  in so many colors. You can walk around the fields and look at the flowers or take a ride in an wagon that will take you around. But with two toddlers walking and running around is always my 1st pick. Any thing to help get energy out is a plus, right?

You are able to take pictures in the flowers, we tried but with two toddlers. We did try a couple of time to get some shots. Maybe next year.

There are things for the kids to do too. When we walked in Owen and Emily were giving a passport. Throw out the fields you can find a flags were the kids can read a fun fact and add a stamp to their passport. Owen and Emily really liked running around and looking for the flags. We also found a playground.

If you live in Dan Diego or are going to be here you really should stop by and take a look. You will need to buy tickets.

Hello everyone. I hope that you are having a good week. We are having fun. The last couple of days of Owen's spring break is coming to a end. The kids are have had fun sleeping in ( I like that part too) playing outside, making a mess, and being kids.

*Owen showing me how he can clean his nose like a giraffe and Emily trying.

This weeks themes are clearing, digging, mixing, reading, watching

Clearing the way for a new bathroom. Trying to get rid of stuff that we don't use or don't need. But i have to say that it is a little hard for me to get rid of things. Now for you that know me don't laugh that too much. I am working on it. LOL

With Easter this weekend I have been Digging in my craft supplies making goodies for my kids and my niece and nephew. There is not enough time in the day for me to make every thing that I would love to make. Good thing I have all year to make more things.

This week I have been mixing things up with dinner. We have been in a dinner rut. Some times like most kids Owen and Emily can be picky at meal time. So we have been eating the same thing a lot. When I notices that Dave was looking for some thing to eat right after dinner it might be time to find some new recipes. The kids have been eating some of the food. I don't want to be a short order cook at dinner time so I am happy that they are liking the food kind of.

Oh reading how I miss ya. Reading books for fun has been put on hold for right now. Other than kid books I do read blogs. I feel that blogs are my books now. I took a couple pictures of books that I really liked, (you can tell I read all kind of books) One day soon I will be able to read a book that is not a cook book or a kids book.

Watching..... OK so I LOVE Grey's Anatomy.  And I mean love it. I will watch reruns over and over again. and I still cry on the sad parts. I have to DVR them because Dave will not watch it with me.

Perfect for our home

On Monday's I am going to post a picture, a saying, something my kids have said, things that make me smile, or lesson I have learned.
Just a little something to start the week.
I saw this saying on Pinterest last night. (Fallow me) And it made me smile. I think I need to hang this in my house. If you know me, you know how well this fits me.

Hope you had a good weekend.
Have a great week.

Hello Everyone!
This week's theme is Dropping, Making, Wearing, Kissing, and Keeping.

This week my mother in-law has been been visiting. The kids had so much fun playing and spending time with Oma that they are dropping like flies before nap time. Emily can sleep any where.

Last weekend we went to a pick your own strawberry field. Post coming soon. This week we have been making treats with them. We made strawberry short cake and chocolate dipped strawberries ( with dark chocolate for Dave) Thank you Tiff for the inspiration. Check it out

With my grown baby bump I had to go on the look for a workout tank top that was a little bit more supportive for the belly. Found one at target! I find my self wearing it all the time. I think I need to go and buy more.

So I have to tell you about the cute way Owen says good bye. He will give you a kiss on each check and then on the lips."( almost like he is giving you the kiss of death) And says "See ya later alligator" My silly kissing boy.

Well we are going to be working our master bathroom this weekend. We have been playing with the idea getting a new vanity or giving our old one a face lift.  We are going to keeping the old one and Dave is going to work his magic and make it new again.

Thank you Ot & Et And Harvesting Kale for hosting this link party!

Have a great week.

Owen Truns 4

I cant believe that my little guy is 4. Time is going by so fast. It feels like yesterday I was putting him in his crib and checking on him every 5 minutes to make sure he was still breathing ( first time mom thing. LOL)  And now I drop him off at preschool and look at him through the window into the backyard as he plays with his sister. Where did the time go.

For the kids birthday I take them out for doughnuts and chocolate milk.  We put a candle on the doughnut and sign to him. Doughnuts are a special treat in our house to the point where the kids think they get a candle on them whenever we eat them. I hope the kids never out grow this growing tradition we have going.

And of course our birthday minute kiss. Look at my silly kid.

Owen just loves playing with Lego's. So it was a perfect fit to have a Lego party. I made a Lego cake and cup cakes with Little Legos on top  made out of Air Heads, found the tutorial here over at Little Family Fun

And of course no party is complete with out a sign. So I did my best at a Lego man.  Owen liked it. Even though he is making his monster face.  He was so happy as his friends started to show up. When one of his friends from school came he was so happy. He ran to the door and introduced her to his is cousins and sister. Then said to Alex " Thank you for coming to my party" How cute and sweet is that.

It was a great party filled with friends, family, good food ( a nacho bar), and Love.

This weeks theme: Reading, feeling , racing, using, smelling

Emily's bedtime routine is really working for us right now. More on that soon. Every night after kisses and brushing our teeth we are reading The Napping House ( her favorite book), then one more book of her choice. She knows every word ( so do I). No matter how sleepy she is we must read her book. She will ask " my story mommy?" then close her little eyes and go right to sleep.

This week we told everyone that we are due in august with our third child. Another little girl. We are so happy to be adding to our family. But like any new mom to be or mom with many kids. I am feeling nervous about what the future has I store for our family.

I have been racing around all week trying to get every thing ready for Owens 4th birthday party. A Lego theam party. Our family schedule is a little nuts this week. I need to clean the house for the party ( with 2 toddlers that can be a little hard) we have school on Tuesdays and Thursday, and gym every day. And all the party goodies to get done.

The past 2 weeks I have falling in love with a new hair product that I have been using.Nourishing Coconut milk shampoo and conditioner. Oh and the anti-breakage. LOVE LOVE This stuff. you can find it at Target.  The last time that I got a hair cut was the Christmas before Owen was born ( he just turned 4) now I have given my self trims but that is it. Since I have been using these products I have to tell you my hair looks and feels heathy. I can even let it dry on its own and it dries straight. I have thin hair that has a mind of its own. Oh and it smells great.

Oh the rain! We have good weather in CA ( sorry if you live back east). But this week we have had rain! The air has been smelling fresh and oh so good. I am hoping for more rain soon.

I want to send a special thanks for my dear friend Tiffany over at Stock on a Cloud. She shared this link up party and great new bloggers, Ot & Et And Harvesting Kale.

Check them out

Our Growing Family

We are happy to announce that we are expecting a baby! We are due in the beginning of August, with a little girl.

Three kids, we are going to be out numbered.
We took the kids to all of our appointments. We want them to be apart of this. Dave and I knew that Owen would understand ( as much as 4year old can) but not sure about Emily. They were in the room when we saw her for the 1st time, she even gave us a thumbs up.Owen loved that. He still tells everyone that the baby gives the thumbs up.

Owen still has a lot of questions
1. Is the baby ready to come out yet?
2. Can the baby hear me?
3. Is the baby crying?
4. Will she come out of your belly?
5. Do you hurt mommy?
And many many more. We are doing our best to answer his questions with age appropriate answers. Emily tells me that I have a baby belly.

The kids were also with us when we found out the sex of the baby. We asked the kids if they thought mommy had a boy or a girl in my tummy. Owen said girl and Emily told us a baby. The kids focused on the gel that they put on your stomach. They kept asking Dave " why is there slim on mommy's tummy". Owen was right. We are having a girl. On the way home Owen told us to name the baby sissy. Emily got so upset. She kept saying " my name is sissy" I think we are going to need to think of a new nickname for the baby. And start getting Emily ready for the idea of the baby.
(The picture I posted to let everyone know the news)

I know the kids will do great. It might be a bumpy road at first but I am sure the kids will adjust to the new baby
