Bike ride

It was warm outside and the sun was out, a perfect day for a bike ride. This is our 1st bike ride not on our street. Can you see our little monkey making sure her new bike is OK?

As I look at my two monkeys I cant believe how big they are and that we are on a bike ride at the lake to the park.

Owen rides his bike like a pro. Emily is still learning how, she always wants to do what her big brother is doing. I know she will be riding just like Owen in no time. But for now she still needs a little help from us.

As we got closer to the park Owen would yell "all most Emily all most Emily" Emily would yell "I see it Owen" They are to cute for words some times.

We had a great time playing at the park.

Owen showing us his super hero pose.

As Emily runs around she yells princess.

One bike ride done but many many more to come. I cant wait!

Emily's 2rd birthday party

Our little princess has turned 2. I cant believe it. Time is going by way to fast. Our little Emily loves any thing pink and princess. I spent all last week getting ready for the party. Baking cookies, making play dough, goodies bags, backing cookies and a small cake. Cleaning the house, with 2 toddlers running around that one always takes the longest. There were a couple of late nights. When my little angles are asleep I am able to get things done.

The party turned out great. The kids had a great time so did the adults. Here are a couple of shoots of the party.

Some of the goodies that were made for the party. My mom made the candies. I am working on some tutorials to be posted soon.

Look at that smile.

Not the best picture of me but its a cute one of Emily.

Owen really liked the frosting.

Ava loved the cupcake!!! And her Aunt Jenny for giving her one.

I just love this pic. Emily received 2 pairs of dress up shoes and her and Ava just loved them. Even warring them when eating cupcakes.

Emily trying out her new bike. Thank you Grandma and Papa

And of course here a couple of shots from Emily's birthday doughnut and birthday kiss.

We are so lucky to have great family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate our little one.

Owen truned 3

My little man is 3. I cant believe how fast time goes by. Owen is into trains, he loves them. SO we have a trained themed party.  Here are a couple of pictures of the train all the fun train things I did for Owen's party.

We were not able to get more pictures of Owen opening his gifts because he opened them so fast it was like a tornado. But with every gift he would call out what it was and say "oh , wow, look" It was so funny.

It was great party.

We also went to dounuts for breakfast.

I give my kids a birthday minute kiss every year.

Owen Playing Soccer

On Friday I came across a add for a local soccer program, Soccer shots. And they had a program that Owen could play, a 11 week program. The first day on Saturday ( the next day). I did not want to tell Owen about it just in case it was to late to sign him up. It was not to late!!!!
After we ate breakfast I asked Owen a few questions.
Me "Owen do you want to do some thing new and fun today?"
Owen "Yes mom, what?"
Me " You are going to play soccer with other kids at the park. Do you want to do that?"
Owen "YES!!! Lets go. I want a number. Lets go mom lets go"

After getting dress and a quick call to Aunt Kimmy and Uncle Nathan we were off.

My little guy was a little shy at first. But with Owen this is normal. One of the coaches say this and took Owen by the hand and help him get over his shyness. As a parent who was shy as a child it always makes me a little worry at first. At the first water break he came running to me saying. "Mom I cant do it" This made me sad. I explained to him that it is OK that he feels a little shy. Then I reminded him that he felt a little shy when we started going to kids club ( the gym) but he now loves going and the same with Swim lessons. He loved at me and said "OK mom"  He walked to the rest of the kids. The next water break he came running over and said "Mom I did it I did. I play soccer ball." My little boy was playing soccer running and kicking the ball and having fun.
They even played a little game. Owen was on the yellow team. Before they started to play he ran over to me to show me his yellow shirt. He did a great job!! When he had the ball Emily would yell "Go Owen." Way cute.

On the way home Owen asked me "Mom I want to play more soccer ball"" I think he liked it. He could not wait to tell his dad all about it and show his hand stamp and sticker. Owen even showed people at Costco.

Look at what we did

Hello Happy Friday!
As a parent there are a couple of senteces when said by you kids makes you think, oh no. Yesterday Owen and Emily came running into the room and saying "look at what we did". The kids were covered in my makeup. They were so proud of themselves.  Owen said "look mom I'm a monster" Emily said "I am pretty" Thank goodness for baby wipes. Have a great day and a great weekend!

The camera washed out most of the makeup. But let me tell you they were coverd.

Christmas card fun 2012

We had a great Christmas the past year. Owen is at the age when he know what its all about. So we made sure to be at our home for Christmas morning for Santa. Here a couple pictures of us trying to do our Christmas card. I think that is shows how much fun we had and how silly our kids are.

We found that our sleeping children take cute pictures.
They stay still.

Cookie weekend Part 2

My last post was about our cookie weekend trip. It was a great weekend filled with family and cooking. The trip started in Newport in the early hours of the day and ending in San Francisco that night. By the end of the trip the kids were at the end. They wanted out of their car seats. Owen did great, thanks to snacks and a DVD player. Emily and the Twins were just to young to care about a movie they just wanted out.

Here are a couple of pictuers of all the cookies.

When all the cooking is done it is time to go see Santa. If you are in the bay area and looking for a Santa to see, Sanford mall is the way to go. With our aprons in hand and a plate of cookies we waited in line to see Santa. When it was out time Owen was the first kids to get see Santa. Owens face lit up as he walked up to Santa and sat next to him. Santa read him a story as they waited for it to be time for the picture to be taken. Tears welled up in my eyes, because you could really see the wonder and amazement of the moment. Emily was still a little to young to know who this man was holding her, but still really cute.

The twins were not that happy to be on Santa’s lap. But he was so cute and funny at the same time. They kept looking at us with a look of why are you doing this to me.

We make a lot of cookies. And I mean a lot of cookies. We spend all day cooking, laughing, and having a great time.  Below are 2 pictuers of "The Big Bowl" we use and some cute kids.

I just love this.

I had a great weekend and I know that everyone did too. Thank you Aunt Vickie for opening you home to us and hosting another great cookie weekend.
